Choosing the right Golf Balls
What did you see Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson on television – you know the brand of golf balls they use. And they are good, no? You should be able to use the same brand of golf balls and well, right? Wrong!
Perhaps the use of the same type golf balls as the PGA golf pros will improve your game … perhaps will not. What you need to choose the ball that makes your game. Choosing the wrong type of golf ball can not be amajor handicap for the game compared to 19 hole. Choosing the right type of golf ball can have you feeling like a tiger, even if you do not have enough of his disability.
Golf balls are available in three styles: 2-piece, 3 pieces, and high performance. 2 piece golf balls, designed to improve your distance, while 3-piece golf balls and high performance can typically help with accuracy.
The 2 piece golf balls are especially good if youjust starting out, or if you only played enough to know what you really want to give this sport a try. They are also suitable for high handicap golfers who have such a fling. Hey, we can not all be professional! This is the most common type on the market, and usually in less than 3 piece balls. Best of all, the large rubber core provides faster speed off the tee for those of you slowly. In return it gives you more distance.
It may happen that the first timeplayed, everyone was amazed to think of how little white ball with the power of a light batter major championship a draw Grand Slam. But it is doubtful. A distance is usually developed over time, as it develops your swing and find the path. When you are just beginning, it is likely that we must improve the accuracy over distance. Once you've developed the precision, so it's time to choose a golf ball and club which will help improve your distance.
If youhave not developed consistent accuracy – that is, after the ball consistently land in the same "general" area each time – so that 3-piece golf ball probably is not right for you. And 'just do not forgive, as the mis-hits such as 2-piece golf ball. The same goes for high performance balls. They are basically designed for high … and their price bears this out!
One factor that always consider is the cost. General, normal 2-piece golf balls are usuallyin 18 packs and are relatively cheap. The cost of golf balls may seem small compared to the total cost of continuation of the sport but the inexperienced player can go through a lot of golf balls in a very short time!
The key, as with most golf equipment, is to choose the right type of golf ball for your level of play. Think of your swing and your game, and then the ball will help eliminate your weaknesses and build yourforces.
If you do not have the right ball for your level of play to choose, the game of golf is just what Mark Twain once described as "… a pleasant walk, spoiled".
